We’ve all been hearing about Blu-ray and high-definition televisions. But, what is blu-ray, really? Blu-ray is also known as Blue-Ray Disc and is the next generation optical disc format. The format was developed to enable recording, rewriting and playback of high-definition video.
The Blu-Ray DVD format allows more than five times the storage capacity of traditional DVDs and hold up to 25GB on a single-layer disc and 50 GB on a dual layer disc. This combination of top-notch technology and extra storage offers home viewers an unprecedented viewing experience.
